Chris Keener was born and raised for the most part right here in Manassas, Va., and graduated from Hylton High School in nearby Woodbridge. Every artist has a trigger that kind of sets the tone and direction for a tattoo artist. For Chris, it was when his dad decided to stop by a tattoo shop when he was 10 years old. From that point, it was game on. He took every art class that he could while learning to draw, shading techniques and a host of other basic artist knowledge.
At age 19, Chris got his first tattoo and by 20 years old, he had purchased his first tattoo machine from an established local artist. Pretty much like every other artist, he started tattooing his friends. It wasn?t too long until he decided to get serious about his tattoo career and with his license in hand, Chris?served his apprenticeship at Addictions Tattoo and Art Studio under the watchful eye of Carrie Ayers with additional mentoring from the other artists at Addictions Tattoo & Art Studio, Manassas and is now a full artist within our shop.
In just a short period of time, we have seen Chris grow and mature in his dedication to his career and his outlook on life. Watch for some of his?work posted on our Facebook page.
